Autohydro is a hydrostatics and stability analysis application used by naval architects and marine engineers to evaluate vessel performance and regulatory compliance. It calculates intact and damage stability, hydrostatic properties, righting-arm (GZ) and cross-curve (KN) data, trim and heel equilibrium, and free-surface effects in tanks and flooded compartments. Users can define compartmentation, permeability, and load cases; include heeling moments from wind, passengers, or turning; and check results against rule-based criteria (e.g., common IMO/SOLAS requirements). The software produces submission-ready reports and plots suitable for class and flag approval.
Applicable to a wide range of craft—from small boats and workboats to barges and offshore units—Autohydro supports the workflow from concept design through refit and weight-change updates. Typical outputs include hydrostatic tables, stability booklets, floodable length and limiting KG, downflooding points, and damage-case survivability summaries. It integrates with hull and compartment modeling tools to streamline model setup and allows exporting results for documentation or further analysis.
